Safepoint reach Tech Nation’s East of England Finals, 2024

Safepoint has secured a coveted position at Tech Nation’s East of England Rising Stars finals. The Norwich-based team will showcase their suite of life-saving innovations, including their lone worker and personal safety solutions.

Tech Nation’s expert judges chose Safepoint to represent the region alongside nine other contestants. The finals will be hosted on the 13th of May (in conjunction with Cambridge Tech Week) at the Bradfield Centre.

About Tech Nation Rising Stars

Tech Nation is one of the UK's most prestigious tech growth organisations. Its alumni account for 1/5th of all tech funding in the last decade, and 1/3 of all unicorns.

Rising Stars is Tech Nation's flagship startup competition. Over the last six years, it has highlighted the UK's most innovative tech startups –including Bumble, Twilio and Wish. The competition is in its sixth year and seen a record number of applications.

East of England finals

With over 400 applications this year (final figures to be confirmed), only ten companies per region have advanced to the regional finals. 

The ten finalists –comprising innovative companies from all over the East of England– will be competing for the chance to win up to £170,000 in prizes.

The winner will also go on to present at London Tech Week – the UK's globally recognised showcase of innovative tech.

Innovative safety solutions

Since 2020, Safepoint has worked with businesses and organisations to provide life-saving innovations –including the Safepoint Lone Worker App and the Safepoint Lone Worker Device.

Since 2023, Safepoint has also provided round-the-clock protection for everyday folk through their personal safety brand, Callie.

Both Safepoint and Callie will be presented at the Rising Stars East of England Final on the 13th of May.

Safepoint hopes to secure a win at the region’s most anticipated tech event after recently being awarded the Tech Innovation Award by UK Health and Safety.

As well as competing for the first prize and the chance to showcase at London Tech Week, Safepoint say they are proud to celebrate the diverse array of innovation throughout the region.
