Safepoint wins Health and Safety Technology Innovation Award!
Lone worker safety company, Safepoint, has won a Health and Safety Technology Innovation Award for their outstanding contributions to the sector.
The Awards were announced as part of the 2024 Health and Safety Awards, on the 22nd March 2024.
As well as winning the Technology Innovation award, Safepoint were also finalists for the Healthcare Safety award, and the Environmental Health and Safety award.
Safepoint provides innovative apps, wearable panic buttons and standalone SIM-enabled devices for lone workers.
They also provide a powerful team management solution, and a gold-standard Alarm Receiving Centre monitoring service that is powered by their official partners, ADT.
Innovative lone worker safety
Safepoint has always strived to provide the most innovative lone worker solutions on the market, and so the team were particularly proud to have been recognised in this way.
“For us” Began Safepoint CEO Callum Coombes, “Winning the Health and Safety Technology Innovation award was the best possible outcome. For years, we’ve been trying to show how being bold and thinking outside the box can be really beneficial for the Health and Safety Sector.”
It was for this bold commitment to innovation, that Safepoint was chosen for this prestigious award. In their application, Safepoint gave the following summary:
When Safepoint started in 2017, they had a plan to fundamentally modernise the health and safety sector. Through their focus on innovation and quality user experience, Safepoint have made this goal a reality. It is this blend of ambition, technical know-how, and commitment to safety that makes Safepoint a natural nominee for the Health and Safety Awards.
A solution worth talking about
Proof of Safepoint’s meteoric success can be seen in the quality of their clients, as well as the considerable buzz their products have made. As well as providing innovative solutions for organisations such as the NHS, Aldi, Age UK, and Mitsubishi,
They have also been featured in IOSH Magazine, The Telegraph, Talking Retail, and Estate Agent Today as well as on BBC Radio.
Farmers Weekly called Safepoint “A simple piece of software that can save lives” and they were named the “Best Lone Worker App in 2023” by Work Smarter Magazine.
More recently, Safepoint were ranked #4 in F6S’ “Top Safety Companies and Startups” in the UK –the highest placement for a lone worker company.
Turning phones into life-saving devices
At the centre of Safepoint’s success is their flagship lone worker app. The app allows workers to share their live location and status securely with their team, manually and automatically call for help in the case of an emergency, and connect with Safepoint’s professional, fully accredited safety monitoring team.
The Safepoint app provides further benefits for team leaders and managers. Not only can they see live alerts in an instant, but they can also oversee their entire team in one place. These powerful team management features allow supervisors to keep track of their team’s progress and provide support while on the move. This makes Safepoint essential for businesses that struggle to keep track of large and remote teams.
Innovative solutions for every organisation
Safepoint has continued its focus on excellence far beyond its app. Recently, Safepoint has expanded their offerings to include brilliantly discreet yet powerful wearable devices.
These devices can be used either in conjunction with the app, or by themselves. They offer instant two-way communication, fall detection, live monitoring and up to five days’ battery life.
In 2023, Safepoint made yet another trail-blazing move when it signed an exclusive partnership with security giants ADT. By teaming up with the internationally-recognised, 150-year-old company, Safepoint has been able to combine modern innovation with true security pedigree.
At the time, an ADT representative said they were “really excited” about the partnership as Safepoint provides the “most advanced and comprehensive solution on the market”.

While Safepoint provides an incredibly innovative experience, its focus has always been on safety and quality.
The entire platform is accredited to the highest standards and is built in-house by a dedicated team of software experts. Safepoint has even provided solutions for the BSI –the institute that (literally) wrote the standards on lone worker safety!
